Tuesday Jacket - Terroir
The Tuesday Jacket is based on a well loved vintage fit, re-imagined in naturally dyed, hand-woven fabric that's custom-made for us in Thailand. It’s slightly boxy and cropped but more regular fitting than the loose Sundae Jacket.
The word 'terroir' is commonly used for wine - used to describe the impact the earth, weather and other environmental factors have on the characteristics of the grape and ultimately it's taste. For us, the terroir impacts the colour & tone. In the same way wines from the same vineyard produce unique notes season-to-season, so too do our dye pots. Even with the same farmers, dyers and weavers using the same land, we find differing tones - sometimes the indigo is more purple, sometimes more green because of minerals and impurities.
This iteration is a celebration of the variation of tones and shades the dyer's indigo vats produce thanks to Mother Nature's input. While we usually match fabrics together to give an even colour across an item, this one-off run takes inspiration from vintage two-tone items.

Processes & Dyes
Hand wash your item with pH neutral soap and cool (or warm to the touch) water and then air dry. Find our detailed care guide here.
Our naturally dyed clothing is coloured with organic materials that behave differently to synthetic dyes. These items may have some smell from the dye process and you may experience some crocking and rub-off when new. Please make sure you are comfortable with this when ordering.
