Role: Studio Manager
Type: Full-time 5 days
Location: London Fields, East London (studio-based)
We are looking for a MEGA ORGANIZED and ENERGETIC person to join our studio. This role could be called warehouse manager, retail manager, space manager. We’ve chosen Studio because it sounds nicer.
Every role at Story mfg is kind of a swiss army knife one, and this is no exception. You’ll be in charge of the space here in London Fields which acts as our office, our warehouse, showroom and our photo studio. It’ll be on you, with the help of the rest of the studio team helping, to keep it running smoothly and above all, organised.
You’ll pack ecom orders, pack partner store orders, stay on top of stock, organise and maintain the spaces, answer customer queries and help with launches and special events.
Studio & Operations

Overall responsibility for the Story mfg studio

Managing and maintaining:

Photoshoot space

Warehouse

Communal and working areas

Ensuring the studio runs smoothly day to day

Coordinating between teams working in the space
-
Keeping the space clean and tidy
-
Liaise with external contractors, e.g. removals, waste removals, cleaners, couriers etc
Warehouse & Logistics
-
Managing day-to-day warehouse operations
-
Overseeing and supporting warehouse staff
-
Packing and dispatching e-commerce orders
-
Coordinating wholesale and other outgoing deliveries
-
Ensuring stock is organised, tracked, and handled correctly
-
Helping maintain efficient workflows and processes
-
Managing packaging stock levels and re-ordering materials
-
Proactively problem solving logistical, shipping and customs issues
-
Generally being the person who knows where everything is at all times
E-commerce
-
Supporting the e-commerce manager
-
Checking the website for accuracy (product info, images, stock, pricing)

Assisting during busy drop periods
-
Helping ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time
-
Occasionally assist Product team with physical quality control checks, stock measurements, repairs and customisation

Reporting information regarding returns and customer feedback
Retail & Activations

Supporting retail activity when required

Working at sample sales, pop-ups and special activation days (occasionally will be required to work on weekend days)

Assisting with in-person sales and customer interactions
Customer Service

Handling customer enquiries via email and phone

Responding to questions about products, orders, and deliveries

Resolving issues clearly and professionally
-
Acting as a key point of contact for customers

Knowing the story mfg product inside and out
Press & Special Projects

Assisting with occasional press-related needs
-
Supporting studio set-ups for shoots, visits, or special projects
-
Keep track of stock on loan
-
Helping with ad hoc tasks as needed across the business
Skills & Experience
-
Highly organised and dependable
-
Comfortable managing people, space, and logistics
-
Strong communication skills
-
Experience in e-commerce, warehouse, or studio environments is a plus
-
Sewing skills are a bonus / nice to have
