We love a striped tee. We wear them all the time, but weirdly haven’t made one for a while. Probably because we couldn’t think of a sufficiently difficult way to do it.

So, here it is.

The Naive Tee uses our Grateful Tee fit as its base, with the block-printed stripes we use across our fabrics applied to a simple tee. Each one is laid completely flat with the arms fanned out, then block printed by hand right across the whole garment. The stripes travel over the body, across the sleeves and even creep inside the back neck.

It’s deliberately a little unusual. We wanted the process to be visible (we call this evidence of the hand). No two will be exactly alike but they're all close. They're non identical twins.

It is, basically, the most labour-intensive way we could think of to make a striped T-shirt. Don't forget we ALSO MAKE THE TEE.

But they’re beautiful. Simple, wonky in the right places, and very obviously touched by human hands. When the first samples arrived at the office, pretty much everyone who saw them wanted one.

Preorder Information

Preorders are quite tricky things to manage, for us and a little for you. We expect this item to ship in the delivery window above, but there are always acts of God we can't account for. If you have any questions about your order, please reach out to hi@storymfg.com and we can help with anything you need.

If you are ordering two things at once, and they’re ready at different times (eg you order this and an item that is ready to ship now) we will reach out to you to ask if you’d like us to hold and ship them together or ship in two shipments. Shipping together will always be cheaper. If you choose to ship separately, we will need to request additional postage (unless the value of each shipment exceeds our free shipping thresholds). Please note that we are unable to split shipments for U.S. customers. If you place an order that includes both an in-stock item and a preorder item, the order will be shipped together once all items are available.

You also get a lovely discount for preordering. You’re also able to cancel your preorder and, of course, also able to return your item if it isn’t right for you, the same way you’d be able to normally.
